The Pelotonia Scholars Program:
Undergraduate application cycle: Jan 15 - Feb 15
Graduate application cycle: Jan 15 - Feb 15; June 15 - July 15
The Pelotonia Fellowship Program provides one-year research fellowships to the best and brightest OSU undergraduate and graduate students who want to help cure cancer. Cancer is a complex disease and curing it will take a multidisciplinary effort. So, no matter what the field of study, from traditional scientific fields to fields like engineering, history and business, all OSU students may apply.

OSU undergraduate eligibility guidelines:
A Molecular Genetics major.
Conducting undergraduate research at OSU and have an OSU faculty advisor who has agreed to be responsible for overseeing the research project.
Enrolled as a full-time student for Spring 2025, Autumn 2025, and Spring 2026 semesters.
In good academic standing at the time of application.
Undergrad Research Apprenticeship Program:
Priority deadline for best chances of being considered is February 16, 2025 at 11:59 p.m., but applications will be open until March 2, 2025 at 11:59 p.m.
URAP is a funding and professional development opportunity through the Undergraduate Research & Creative Inquiry office to assist students in any major or research area with financial needs while being involved in an undergraduate research project. URAP is a competitive program and funds approximately 60 students each summer semester. Students are responsible for working with a faculty mentor to develop their research project proposal. In addition to their faculty-mentored research activities, URAP students participate in a professional development curriculum organized by UR&CI staff.
Summer Research Opportunities Program (SROP):
Program duration: May 28 - July 25, 2025
Applications are accepted between November 1 and February 10.
SROP helps prepare undergraduates for graduate study through intensive research experiences with faculty mentors and enrichment activities. SROP seeks to increase the number of students who can pursue graduate education by focusing on increasing program and research access that will prepare future students for successful careers at the graduate level.
