Our research focuses on the molecular, cellular, and developmental mechanisms of intra-cell type heterogeneity in order to improve our understanding of healthy organ maintenance as well as identify innovative methods for classifying and treating multi-organ diseases. To answer our questions we study an ancient cell type found in numerous species, both present and past: the pigment cell.
